===== Pawn to Knight, Part I =====

A paladin of [[gaeleth:divinities:Galgiran]] that is a human with a dwarven name met with the team.  After establishing bona fides and pulling out a variation on the truth candle spell, it turns out that the paladin is relaying a message for the Baron of Firland:  because of the team's good work, the emerald known as Khazalt is a part of the king's office, and as such, the baron owes the team a solid.  A group of [[gaeleth:races:tomanth]]s offers their fealty to the Baron of Gray Lakes, a noble that has made efforts to befriend the backwards tomanths.  Este goes ahead and knights one of them at random.  Then the fighting begins, as undead shadows, force creatures, and an undead man with a double-bladed sword seems to be headed for the Baron of Gray Lakes -- nearly killing the paladin Estella Battleheart in the process.

**DM's Notes:**  Heather and the boys were exhausted, so we had to cut the session a bit short.  I took plenty of pictures of the game board and have my notes, so that we can pick up where we left off, next time.  In the meantime, I think I need to print some support documents.  We keep having to look up stuff that I swore I already printed out -- or made a note to myself /to/ print out.
