====== Ankies ======

Ankies are large, squat, armored herbivores that move about on four legs, and have a large club on their tails.  Adults can be the size of two oxen, and are often used by the military of [[gaeleth:places:Rakore]] to carry ballistas into combat.  The ankies do not have a high carrying capacity, despite their size, and so often carry only two armored dwarves and a ballista -- one to drive, and one to fire.

Not having a temperament suited for domestic work, ankies are rarely used for anything else in Rakore, although they do have a high drag capacity.
