====== Light Galleon ======

A galleon is a 3 or 4 masted ship with multiple decks, considerable cargo space, and easily capable of trans-oceanic journeys.  Galleons come in a variety of configurations, though most nations use them either for elite merchantment or warships.  The term 'light' galleon explicitly denotes a galleon, while a [[heavy galleon]] tends to denote warships.

Galleons often have a main deck, as well as fore and aft castles.  Below the main deck is a crew deck that is often too low for most men to stand up straight.  Below the crew deck are several cargo holds, each accessible through cranes mounted on the two main masts.  Frigates and Raiders tend to have higher crew decks, or even crew decks modified into gun decks with crew living on lower deck.
