The 'Procurators' is a shortened form of the Procurators Adventuring Guild. On paper, the Procurators are an adventuring guild that pays normal taxes and engages in forthright guard services. In reality, the Procurators are an arm of the Star's End Monastery, used to acquire hard-to-get books and scrolls or investigate rumors of new languages or hard-to-find copies of ancient texts.
