Campaign IX, Chapter 4, Session 50

Title: Meinke's Revenge

Characters: Greff, Felix, Adran, Jin

Date: Mid Vor, 1332 Avard

Synopsis: A man Greff ran out of Teras ten years before returns to take his revenge.

Story

From the Meridian Explorations archives:

24th of Vor, 1332 Avard:
Greff and Felix returned from Fasra on the 22nd of Vor. That evening, they met the Chillean elder known as Jin and a warlock called Adran. It appears a spirit or undead of some sort was involved in their meeting, for Adran has the appearance of a priest of Curiss, and apparently frightened the apparition. During the ensuing scuffle, the apparition may have escaped. The meeting between the four was interrupted by an old vendetta against Greff. A shipmaker's journeyman carpenter by the name of Meinke had been run out of Teras by Greff around Trical of 1321 Avard. Where Meinke went or what he did for nearly a decade is unknown, but he returned with a bounty on Greff for ten thousand gold - and a small army of thugs ready to collect on the bounty. One of Meinke's comrades shared an enchanted tattoo with him, ensuring that pain and suffering and wounds Meinke suffered were lessened by sharing them. In addition, Meinke had a number of quarrels that were heavily enchanted, as well. Despite the enchantments and the thugs, Greff and Felix, with the help of Jin and Adran, managed to defeat most of them. Meinke was killed by a fire he and his goons set, which burned down some two blocks in the middle of the city.

Addendum:
Greff and Felix were sent to investigate a dwarven tomb beneath Fasra. Felix tells me that they found the tomb of the first Lightforger King, as well as a tome made of gold that related his history. The first Lightforger was apparently the last Black Quartz. Felix found a number of artifacts in the tome that verified it to be the tomb of the first Lightforger. The tome, unfortunately, has been lost to ME. Corrin took it, and apparently Belsarius is helping her.
