Campaign IX, Chapter 4, Session 67

Title: Rainy Return

Characters: Greff, Felix

Date: Late Davor, 1332 Avard

Synopsis: The team gets holed up in Fasra during a rain storm.

Story

Noon of the 22nd of Davor, 1332 Avard./

The team left the burning hulk of the Weavies' home behind, the heat so intense that it fused sod into glass. They stayed just long enough to ensure that the fire did not rage out of control or spread across the prairie, and then moved on.

They made it to Fasra late the next night, as a rain storm drove down upon them from the north. The storm lashed the fortress town with lightning and thunder and heavy rains, while the team holed up in the town's lone inn.

The only other occupants of the inn were two young nobles and their bodyguards. While the ME team took a break, the nobles tried to pick on Johr Antkiller. Johr excelled in hand-to-hand combat, and had no trouble with one of the nobles and his man-at-arms. Felix and Greff involved themselves, scaring the living daylights out of the noble and giving him one of those life-altering experiences that some young punks need.

After the rains, the river was too swollen to cross. After the river went down, the Freeze had arrived. Theron held seventh-day services during the second day of the Freeze, being a priest of Arpelos and of the sunlight.

After the Freeze, the team set back out for Chasadan, bonding as they went. They met a lone traveler on the roads, bearing food for Fasra. The old farmer made friends with the team, and Greff even bought the food and gifted it to the innkeeper in Fasra.

The next day, the team returned to Chasadan ready to report to William.

Noon of the 2nd of Trivor, 1332 Avard.

Behind the Scenes

Joe (DM)

Dinner was pot pies. The guys have enjoyed a long run – 67 sessions, not counting the one-shots! They're ready for a bit of a break, and ready for some one-shots, again, so we may be getting back to that.

Game Information

RPG System: Dungeons and Dragons, 4th Edition.
All characters are 16th level.

Bill (Greff)

I don't know if I should keep my comments PG. But I have really enjoyed the one shots. Playing Greff for so long has put me in the same mind set for over a year. Same names. Same towns. Same evil. But now… we have new places to explore. new people to talk to and befriend.. or… kill.. It has my creative juices going again. We all anxiously waited to see if Sommer was going to have young “William Ross” while we are playing. So we could have said that child was born with a D20 in it's hand. But no such luck. Ready to get back in the game and start shaping the rest of the world!

Ross (Felix)
