 +====== Bishop ======

 +A bishop is a priest that oversees more than one temple for his god.  Few bishops are pantheonic, as most are dedicated to specific deities.  A bishop may be a former [[vicar]] of a particular temple, appointed to head all of the temples within a region.  In some cases, a bishop is promoted out of the ranks from travelling [[deacon]], and in some cases, even from the state of [[paladin]].  Bishops are bureaucratic officials, and while they may have a temple of their own headed by a vicar of their own choosing, their primary calling is to their entire bishopric.  Some bishops who prove able administrators are promoted to the rank of [[archbishop]], where they may support and administer several bishops for their deity.
