William Sylverheart

Character concept by Ryan Demaree, all rights reserved.

Servitor of Rahne

Date of Birth: Unknown.

Current Status: Summer, 1331 Avard. William continues wandering the continent of Halganath with his friend Karl, offering aid wherever possible, and internalizing the study of hand-to-hand combat and spiritualism in service to the spirit of Rahne.

Appearance

A hard and lean Toomaran, the hawkish nose and aquiline eyes of his people are predominant. His long brown hair is kept back in a long braid, and his lightly tanned face never shows a brown beard because of his heritage. He wears the riding boots and breeches of a Toomaran horseman; however, because of his following, he prefers only to wear a fur-lined vest above the waist. His hand-made, iron-bound quarterstaff is always at hand, either slung through a sleeve across his back, or in his right hand. His lanky rider's walk bespeaks a quiet confidence, and his blue eyes constantly scan the people around him.

William feels little need to have with him any more than he can carry on himself, or in his saddlebags. An accomplished horseman and a typical Toomaran in many respects, he considers his saddle his greatest material possession.

Background

Born to a Toomaran silversmith and a Vridaran merchant-woman, William grew up near the Mule Mountains, with the Autumn Earth tribe. At an early age, William began to show a quiet discipline and steady devotion to Rahne that was quickly recognized by the members of the tribe. The young lad took his walk into manhood early, easily passing the tests that separated the children from the adults. He studied under the priests of Rahne and the warriors of the tribe for several years, before he decided it was time to leave. Over the next several years, he wandered about Halganath, from the Dalenath Plains to the Tarsis Forest, from the Laekenala Jungle to the Molten Mountains. When he returned home to the foot of the Mule Mountains, he stayed for close to a year, before leaving for Rakore – and the rumors of mages. William had to see for himself if the Inquisitors were right.

Character

Sylverheart has a heart of gold, rather than silver, but it is tempered by typical Toomaran customs and traditions. When polite conversation fails, his fists and his quarterstaff are a viable alternative. Quick to smile, he currently can be found ranging about Halganath with his horse Thunder, and his close friend, the fighter Karl Alevek. His experiences in Rakore changed him, and Karl, and the two have taken to wandering the world, helping those in need, before moving on. William takes a cautious view of life, having seen a great deal it has to offer; thus, he has uncommonly good sense.

Mount

William's mount is a Chesdolan fighting horse that is in good shape and good condition, though getting on a bit in years. The horse has a tendency to unsaddle himself whenever the opportunity presents itself.
