Aboris'Shifa

Aboris is the administrative, religious, and commercial hub for the nation of Al Fahim. A 'shifa' in the tongue of Al Fahim is a military leader equivalent to 'captain' in other nations' armies, and there are many shifas in Al Fahim. The people of Al Fahim are distrustful of outsiders, and keep foreign traders in a walled off section of Aboris under the rule of a shifa, who's sole responsibility is to keep the bodies of foreigners out of Aboris proper and at the same time allow the foreigner's monies to flow into Aboris proper. That walled off section of the city has come to be called Aboris'shifa by the locals.

The Shifa of Aboris has perhaps a score of kimans (lieutenants) under him, and over a hundred untrained guardsmen. A small contingent of well-trained Hyer'kullan military men and women remain available to assist the Shifa of Aboris, although they stay on the Aboris-side of the wall, away from the foreign problems of Aboris'shifa.

Small stables are kept near the gates, allowing the Gate Kimans and Shifas the ability to hunt down enemies, and track them down in Aboris or even out into the desert. Tough, grizzled veterans, these Destanae men tend to come from the elite of the nomads, and are dedicated to preserving the purity of Aboris from its foreigners. Speaking only Al Fahiman or the elven of the Desert Elves, they are often on guard with scimitars at the ready to prevent foreigners from entering into Aboris.
