The farming community of Boulderdash in Rakore has existed off and on for centuries. The former oxbow of the Slav River is rich agricultural land, further amplified by a small community of Barithian druids. Boulderdash is home to several thousand farmers and ranchers, and is the main source of food for the nearby city of Kashin, which lies to the east across the Slav River.

The current lord of the lands is Baron Gadden, an Amaran who moved to Boulderdash during the War of the Undead. Baron Gadden proved himself as a powerful druidic priest of Barith, bringing a more Amaran understanding of the Harvest God's powers.

During the War of the Four Winds, Boulderdash was all but abandoned as the ograns invaded from the west, out of the Grand Maul Pass. The city's food stocks were consumed to the last grain as the ograns laid siege to Mount Lavanor, and much of the town was destroyed. After the war and the knighting and entitling of Gadden to Baron, the druid led the restoration and rebuilding efforts of the community and its outlying hamlets.
