(Level 5 Evocation Spell)

Duration: 1d4 rds
Area of Effect: 1 target
Components: VSM

When Spellblast is cast, a blast of bright light and a blast of loud sound rush from one of the caster’s hands to a single target. The blast deals no damage. If the target fails a save versus physical spells, then it is has a 50% chance to miscast any spell requiring verbal or material components, and is both blinded and deafened for 1d4 rounds. If Spellblast passes through an area of magical darkness, or if it runs into an inorganic object, then the spell is negated.

The material components of the spell are a crickets’ wings and a bit of quartz crystal, both of which are consumed by the spell.
