Recap
The morning of the 1st of Dacal, 1329 Avard, Eastern Trade Road, Kalla Travel was peaceful for the party for the next four days. With the only mischief coming from with in their own ranks. Gemini, the halfling rogue, must have felt a bit left out during the fight with the mohgrs or in the freeing Thrug from his curse, for he felt very itchy-fingered on the second of Dacal. The autumn day was sunny and travel was easy. No monstrous creature had risen to menace the party or bandits appeared upon the horizon. Upon entering the inn, Gemini had spied a set of twelve old silver plates decorating a shelf behind the bar. Moving quietly, he snuck over and removed a plate and tucked it under his coat. His greed got the better of him and was caught by one of the lovely barmaids in the act of reaching for a second one. She smacked him over the head with her broom and shooed him off. Gemini beat a hasty retreat from the inn as he saw the barmaid counting the plates. He was out the door by the time she let up a cry of anger. Turning and finding the thief gone, the barmaid made her way over to the five companions left in the in and demanded the return of the plate or payment of 50 gp in it's place. Thrug paid the woman the money out of the pouch Gemini had hidden in his pack and the party left to go find their sticky-fingered friend. Gemini had by this time hidden himself in a tree, but the rest of the party quickly found him. They got the plate back but were strongly discouraged to stay the night at the inn anymore. The barmaid tried to return the gold, but Kai and Horus insisted that she keep it to show how sorry they were for the incident. Due to Gemini's actions, the party was forced to stay at the alehouse at the end of town and sleep on the none too clean floor for the night. A grumpy party set out on the 3rd of Dacal, and kept a closer watch on their little friend. On the fifth day of travel the party was approaching the borderlands of Kalla and were staying at one of the last two Havens before entering the wild hills. All had been quiet until around midnight, the gates to the Haven were breached and cries of alarm arose to break the stillness of the night. Five large zombie minotaurs lumbered into the yard of the Haven, intent on destruction. Our brave heroes valiantly charged forth and did battle with the towering monsters from the grave. Soon enough, the zombies were destroyed once more and the party returned to their rooms to finish resting. They remained at the Haven another day to insure all were healed and to help with repairs to the Haven's gates before leaving. At about mid-afternoon, the party spotted four large cats stalking them. They prepared themselves and launched the first wave of their attacks once the Dire Lions had come with in range. Once the lions knew that surprise was not with them, they charged into the party and attacked with mighty pounces to rake the unfortunate heroes who fell before them. The party was taken aback at the fierceness of the lion's attack, but quickly regrouped and won the day. Thrug was able to skin and roughly tan on of the pelts and put it in his pack for later.
Thus ends the morning of the 7th of Dacal, 1329 Avard, Eastern Trade Road, border of Kalla.
