Alibazcar was an enchanter in Aboris during the Storm Wars. Although his nation had little to do with the wars themselves, Alibazcar's sons signed up for the Kartikan Alliance, and saw fierce campaigning in the Jaeth Hills with the Vord Orcs and the Nathelian forces. Determined that his sons would have some measure of defense against both the orcs and the invading Dark God's forces, Alibazcar fashioned a set of rings for each of his sons, each with a different benefit as per the personality of the son.
Colonel Deltankth Ve of Nathel discovered the first ring quite by accident, when one of his mages brought it to him. An accomplished spell-caster in his own right, Colonel Ve realized that the rings were linked so that the brothers could find one another -- and also linked so that all seven could be worn together without interfering with one another's powers. The colonel began a personal campaign to acquire all seven of the rings, and by the time of his death, had managed to acquire four of them. Colonel Ve was slain by a Karatikan deep strike force, just before Nabrol's ascension to power. The chaos of Nathel's death, and subsequent replacement by Nabrol, scattered the rings and Alibazcar's remaining sons. Each ring, crafted of platinum and runed with the dusts of various gems, was scattered across Gaeleth. It is thought that if any one of the rings is found, it might be used to find the other rings, and so empower an individual with extraordinary abilities. The rings and their abilities are listed on the table below:
In the event that one of the rings is found, legend lore may be cast upon it to determine its origins and purpose. When this spell is used in conjunction with a crystal ball, a general bearing and direction may be determined for the next nearest ring. This technique is useless for detecting the onyx ring of Alibazcar because of its nondetection abilities. For it, a limited wish spell may be required.
