Current Status: Summer, 1331 Avard. Sir Zacchary is the knight errant of Takanal, knighted by the Baron Thespulae for his service during the War of the Four Winds. 'Zap' rides the boundaries of Takanal, and also keeps in close touch with the workings of the merchants and Gideon Enterprises. GE's special options contact in Takanal is a fellow named Ta'Crae, whom Zap often works with.
Male Slate Human, 3rd-level Fighter
Skills: Craft (weaponsmithing) +6*, Handle Animal +6,
Intimidate +3, Ride +9. (+2 bonus to Craft checks, as per Rakore background.) Appearance: Zachary tends to dress in earth-tones of dark leathers and lighter cottons, with light padded armor beneath his functional-but-plain half-plate. His thick leather boots have steel caps to match his armor, with one dented in from some past fight. His blue eyes are matched by a dark blue cloak trimmed in gray wolf's fur, that comes down to his calves and has a functional hood. The hilt of a masterfully crafted bastard-sword, juts up over one shoulder, and his large frame and hulking countenance lend to his air of strength. Zap's long, light-brown hair is kept back in a warrior's braid, though it often gets free of its clasp. His blue eyes and strong face with laugh lines, even in one so young, mark him as a serious man that's quick to laugh.

During the Night of the Assassins in Kashin, Zap's sister Leigh was killed by a crossbow bolt that most assumed was a stray from some battle -- but Zap believes was an assassination, brought on by Seekers and Inquisitors who may have aided or abetted the Night of the Assassins. Roleplaying Notes: Conspiracy theories pour out of Zap light from the sun. Oddly enough, many of them may be true. He tends to talk himself into trouble as fast as his tongue will allow, even though his heart and his head both mean well. In some odd way, Zap is the epitome of the big, dumb fighter -- and yet he's not stupid; just erratic and unpredictable. People respond to Zap in one of two ways: they either love him, or they hate him. A prideful, caring man, Zap jumps head-first into trouble, trusting in his training and his instincts to keep him alive long enough to realize he's in trouble. No matter how bad the situation, though, Zap always keeps a positive outlook and a ready smile for his friends. |
