The spell causes a concussive burst to emanate from the caster, dealing 1d4 points of damage per caster level (max of 10d4) to all objects and creatures within the area of effect.  Creatures are entitled to a Fortitude save for half damage; those failing the save are also deafened for 1 round per level of the caster.  Objects within the area of effect are entitled to a normal saving throw, although crystalline objects or creatures take double damage.
