Mercs LTD is owned and operated by Neolin Nheral, a former mercenary of considerable fame. The outfit makes a small but respectable amount of money tailoring special mercenary missions to the merchants of Kashin, and sometimes other cities in Rakore. Because of a fierce competition with the Youngbloods mercenary outfit, Mercs LTD has been forced to specialize in more lucrative (read 'dangerous') missions, often taking on inexperienced fighters at low pay to work alongside its more experienced mercenaries. This has made Mercs LTD a premier outfit for hiring newcomers and gaining experience, although they have a considerably high attrition rate – due either to deaths or sell-outs as their mercenaries move on to the Youngbloods outfit.

The only truly stable members of the operation, other than Neolin himself, are Danielle Greentree and Vilhelm Dikar. Neolin is a retired mercenary that still carries his longsword on his hip, though he's getting up in years. The battle-scarred older man has become a considerable presence in the city, and earned himself the title of 'Knight Errant' during the siege of Kashin. Danielle Greentree is an elven ranger with a ruthless intelligence gathering streak, able to pull information out of even the most uninformative employers or the noisiest taverns. Vilhelm Dikar is a massive Vridaran man with a brace of daggers. More of an intimidating, quiet sort, he takes orders well and is the 'strong back' of Mercs LTD, keeping everyone in line.
