Gideon Enterprises Special Operative

Date of Birth: Trical 8th, 1303.
Current Status: Summer, 1331 Avard. Kaisumi continues to operate as a member of FireStorm, serving as a body guard for the cleric of Agincoth, Rell. A long-time friend of Kaisumi's is Ta'Crae Sandrider, who often visits with him when possible.
Kaisumi has a pale complexion with shoulder-length, light green hair and deep sea-green eyes. He tends to wear light tan pants and calf-high boots, with a matching leather jerkin and an archer's brace on one fore-arm. Over his left shoulder shows the shafts of yard-long arrows, and at his hips lie a saber in its sheath and a kukri whose mithril blade gleams in his belt.
Kaisumi was born to a Sholin mother and a mer-elf father out on one of the great floating cities of the Sholin. After a year or two, the city floated farther out than the mer-elf father had intended, and the decision was made to raise Kaisumi as a human, and for his father to return to the sea. Able to swim as a mer-elf, and able to walk as a human, Kaisumi was a virtual prince among the Sholin, who revered the mer-elves in some sense.
As he grew older, Kaisumi spent more and more time alone at sea in his own craft, gaining a strong sense of self, and a great gift for spiritual thought. Once through his difficult teen years, he began to wonder at the lifestyle of the Sholin, especially compared with that of the mer-elves. The young half-elf began to wonder more about his mother's race – and about what living on land would truly be like.
Seeking the thrill and the adventure of land, as well as attempting to further define his human nature, Kaisumi left the open waters for land. In the land of Rakore, he developed an excellent reputation as a sailor crewing aboard a Gideon Enterprises vessel. After several recommendations, he became a special operative for the merchant fleet, even investigating the destruction of Tulish by rogue Quitzara of the Church of Lul.
For nearly a year, from 1328 to 1329, he worked closely with Ta'Crae Sandrider – a desert elf who wielded the bow with surprising ability. Ta'Crae's silent acceptance of Kaisumi headed off their initial difficulties because of race, and the two became strong friends in a quiet alliance, able to share more in a single glance than most people did in an entire conversation. The two would often go comfortably for days without speaking, sometimes performing missions on land for GE, and sometimes out at sea for months at a time.
During the opening salvos of the War of the Four Winds, Kaisume lost his life while protecting a priest of Agincoth called Rell. Kaisume was brought back by the gods as a shadow guardian to protect Rell.
Kaisumi is a quiet professional, and something of an experience junky. He sees himself as a flexible man, adept in the sea, on land, and well on the way through both. His weapons are as versatile as his mindset, and he relishes flexibility. Kaisumi's outside allegiences are with Olorin, deep within his soul, and with Gideon Enterprises for how well they've treated him and treated Olorin. His core allegience, though, is to Rell, in his soul-bound code as a Shadow Warrior.
