While the troupe were inside Mount Rilan, reviving Eingrim the Gold, monks from the Hidden Vow looked into the fortress the troupe had left behind. The monks found two of the troupe's three mules, and helped moved them to Rilan for safety from the weather.
Almost as soon as the mules were gone, winter wolves came sniffing. The giant wolves were a major threat in winter, and winter had come early to the lands near Rilan.
The wolves would prove to be no threat to anyone, though. A young white dragon, barely into his adolescence, killed them. It moved into the fort, and made it a den for the winter. It was not large enough to be a permanent home, but it would do. The dragon was hungry, though. Always hungry.
The troupe returned to the fort to find that the dragon had blocked the entryway with dug up dirt. They tried to fight it, but Roland's mount Ember was shattered into frozen pieces, and Roland and Toox were nearly frozen to death. Hiko tried to use his illusions, but he made one tiny mistake – and the dragon savaged him for it, nearly killing him.
Chimes cast /fly/ on the mule they had with them, and they all fled back to Lok Giran, Fortress of the Soul. There, they let Eingrim know of their troubles, and asked the Baron-and-the-Bishop for help.
Help, there would be – but NOT until after Games Day.
DM's Notes: I wasn't expecting the dragon to be that dangerous, honestly. It's only a CR6, and they're sixth level! Honh.
